Stockholm's City Hall hosted the glittering event where the Swedish
royal family showcased some world-class bling to join the globe's
brightest minds for the annual Nobel Prize ceremony and feast. The ten
laureates and their regal dinner companions were feted in a blaze of
candlelight and amid 20,000 white, yellow and orange flowers which were
donated by the Italian city of San Remo, where Alfred Nobel died in
1896. Heavily pregnant Crown Princess Victoria, 38 (right), wore the
Connaught Diamond Tiara and a necklace set with amethysts the size of
marbles in honour of the grand occasion. Her sister-in-law, former
bikini model Princess Sofia (left), who announced her pregnancy in
September, accessorised her midnight-blue gown with the petite emerald
and diamond tiara that was designed for her wedding day.
