Celebrated singer-songwriter Monique Bingham
has released her latest album ‘Best of The Last’ which features her hit
songs from when she started in 1995 to 2015. The compilation will be
available in stores and on iTunes in South Africa only.
The
2CD collection comprises 26 tracks ranging from deep to disco,
down-time to peak-time, but all share a soulful sensibility and agile
song-writing style that’s virtually unmatched in modern dance music. To
accompany this milestone, the soulful and jazzy house musician has
announced a ‘Best Of The Last’ South African tour which will see her.
On
her goals with these new projects she says, “Improvisation and
unpredictability are the true magic of performance. I want to get swept
away and caught up with the people I'm playing with in front of an
audience and have a genuine creative experience. People can feel that.
That's what I'm most looking forward to on this trip.”
The
album is released through pioneering house music label House Afrika.
And her single “Deep In The Bottom (Of Africa)” featuring iconic South
African DJ Black Coffee makes its highest debut on the SA Top 100
Playlist Chart.
‘Best of The Last’
represents some of the most poignant house music of the past twenty
years including collaborations with Ralf GUM, Todd Terry, Blue Six,
Louie Vega, Quentin Harris and Kerri Chandler among others. The 2CD
collection comprises 26 tracks ranging from deep to disco, down-time to
peak-time, but all share a soulful sensibility and agile song-writing
style that’s virtually unmatched in modern dance music.
