How Rapper, Olamide Openly Beats Lil Kesh

MTV Base has named Olamide aka Badoo as the hottest Nigerian artist of 2015. Olamide is a singer and rapper that was signed to ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes record label and was managed by Tony Payne before he started his own record label ‘YBNL Nation’ in 2012.
He was given this title after the panel on the MTV Base TV special had two days of intense debate to be sure they are making the right choice.
Olamide has released several singles that topped the MTV Base Official Naija Top Ten for many weeks in 2015. He also got kudos on the promotion of protégé, Lil Kesh who is now a role model to some upcoming artist.
To express his happiness, Olamide said, “It is a great feeling to know that my work has made so much impact on Nigerians and I am humbled by this announcement. Thank you MTV Base.”
On the panel that ranked the ten of the hottest artists in Nigeria for the year 2015 were OAPs Omalicha, Do2dtun and Sade Ladipo, showbiz entrepreneur Olisa Adibua, entertainment journalist Osagie Alonge, DJ Spinall and VJ Ehiz.
The artistes were ranked with this criteria; Style, Impact, Sales/Success, Buzz, Music and Intangibles.
The lists includes; Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, Patoranking, Yemi Alade, Korede Bello, Kiss Daniel, Burna Boy, Lil Kesh and Phyno
