Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery is devastated after her financial PR fiance dies aged 34 after battling 'rare form of cancer'

  • Dockery flew from US on Thursday and was with him in his final hours
  • Mr Dineen, who was 34, died on Sunday two days before her birthday
  • His funeral will be held in his home city of Cork tomorrow

  • Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery's fiancé has died of a rare form of cancer aged just 34.
    John Dineen, a PR professional from Ireland, died at a hospice in Cork on Sunday, two days before the actress's birthday.
    Dockery - who has found world-wide fame playing Lady Mary Crawley in the ITV period drama - is said to be devastated.

    The couple (pictured at Wimbledon last summer) are understood to have been dating for more than a year and reportedly got engaged this year 
     
     
     On Thursday, just days before her partner died, Dockery appeared on US chat show Watch What Happens Live with co-star Allen Leech, who introduced the pair
