count (4,134) of all time. A position previously held by "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" with 4,045.

The Walt Disney Company Africa recently announced that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens " broke the record for the biggest opening Wednesday in South African Box Office history.
The movie replaced the previous title holder, Marvel’s 2013 release of "Iron Man 3," which grossed R4 726 865.00 on Wednesday 16 December, its first day of release, with over 70 000 fans flocking to cinemas.
